St. Charles Counseling has therapists and counselors that have been practicing for a combined total of over 75 years. We are a group of caring and compassionate counselors and our absolute goal is to see lives lived to their fullest. In our modern age, people feel lonelier, people are more separate, and family is more broken than ever before. With professional counseling and some hard work, lives, relationships, marriages and families can be healed.
Marriage is worth saving. The amount of hurt and financial burden that divorce brings should be enough for couples to at least give marriage counseling a try before ending such a serious commitment and relationship.
A few top predictors of marriage success from counseling:
Some common problems addressed in individual counseling and therapy are self-esteem, depression, anxiety, divorce adjustment, grief, any major life transition, family problems, relationships with spouse, children, in-laws, siblings, co-workers, etc. Our therapists are here to help you thrive in every area of your life.
One negative impact we’re seeing from the internet and social media is that individuals feel more alone and have a lower self esteem than ever before. According to the CDC, suicide rates are rising, and it is the 10th leading cause of death. It’s too easy to pick up your smartphone and see other people who appear happier, healthier, and more successful than you feel.
St Charles Counseling will help you achieve a healthy self-esteem, so that your identity is not wrapped up in comparisons of others or even what others think about you.
